Our process
Four stages, one file.
The sequence is designed so that each stage produces what the next one needs. The exact order depends on the scheme, the law, the department and the project; some approvals are required before construction, others before installation, trial production or commercial production.
Eligibility and Feasibility
Written first-cut eligibility note with indicative incentive estimates, the FCI versus Net SGST comparison where relevant, and the conditions that must be met.
Project Documentation and Finance
Project documentation package suited to the proposed financing and the applications that will reuse it.
Registrations, Permissions and Pre-Production Approvals
Project-specific checklist, the applications with supporting documents, and a tracked status of each approval.
Production Certification and Subsidy Claims
Organised claim documentation and follow-up support until the process reaches its applicable conclusion.
Eligibility and Feasibility
- Understand the project: promoters, product or service, location block, investment in land, building and plant, and the proposed timeline.
- Run the policy route check: IDP 2024-30 or Logistics Policy 2025; manufacturing or service; new, expansion, diversification or modernisation; sector category; block group; special categories; exclusion list.
- Identify the central schemes that could apply alongside (PMEGP, CGTMSE cover, AIF) and the approvals the activity will need.
Deliverable: Written first-cut eligibility note with indicative incentive estimates, the FCI versus Net SGST comparison where relevant, and the conditions that must be met.
Project Documentation and Finance
- Prepare the Detailed Project Report: project cost, means of finance, technical assumptions, projected profit and loss, balance sheet and cash flow, DSCR and break-even.
- Prepare CMA data for working capital limits and the promoter and guarantor net-worth statements.
- Structure the entity and present the proposal to the lender, answering queries from the same assumption set.
Deliverable: Project documentation package suited to the proposed financing and the applications that will reuse it.
Registrations, Permissions and Pre-Production Approvals
- Udyam registration, GST and DTIC registration; in-principle approval under the state policy where applicable, before the relevant milestone.
- Consent to Establish from CECB where the activity requires it; factory licence or establishment registration; land allotment or lease documentation; building, fire, electrical, water and other sector-specific permissions as applicable.
- Track each application and respond to queries from the file.
Deliverable: Project-specific checklist, the applications with supporting documents, and a tracked status of each approval.
Production Certification and Subsidy Claims
- Consent to Operate before operations begin, where applicable; commercial production date evidenced and certified as the policy requires.
- Assemble the claim: investment proof, bank certificates, employment records, production evidence, the affidavit for the elected route and the forms prescribed.
- File, follow up, respond to departmental queries, and prepare corrections, representations or appeals if needed.
Deliverable: Organised claim documentation and follow-up support until the process reaches its applicable conclusion.
Timing that matters
Milestones that are tied to dates.
These are the points where sequence errors cost real money. We check each against the current notification for the specific project.
| Milestone | Why the timing matters |
|---|---|
| DTIC registration and in-principle approval | Expected before commercial production under the state policy; later registration can narrow the available incentives. |
| Consent to Establish | Required before the unit is established for activities in the applicable categories; banks often ask for it before disbursement. |
| Term loan sanction and first disbursement | Interest subsidy workings run from loan dates; the DPR assumptions must match the sanction terms. |
| Consent to Operate and factory licence | Required before operations begin, where applicable; production without them creates compliance and claim problems. |
| Commercial production date | Starts the clock for incentive periods and claim windows; it must be evidenced and certified as the policy requires. |
| Claim filing window | Claims filed outside the prescribed period can be rejected on timing alone. |
Working arrangements
What you can expect from us.
- A written scope and fee before work starts, stage by stage.
- One set of project assumptions used for the bank, the DTIC, the regulator and the claim.
- Internal verification of every policy figure against the gazette before it appears in a client document.
- Regular status updates on each application, with the next action named.
- Plain statements of what depends on the department or lender and is outside anyone's control.
